Two provinces of Quang Binh and Lam Dong to boost tourism

Books presenting tourism potential of the two provinces

Under the inked agreement, the two sides will boost exchange of information and experience on state management of tourism, especially market development, product development plans, and local policies on tourism. They will together build tours connecting the tourist attractions of the two provinces, prioritize their businesses in carrying out tourism-related projects in each province, and frequently share information and experience in capacity-building training of the sector’s staff. Addressing the signing ceremony, Head of Quang Binh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Luong Van Luyen laid stress on the province’s values of nature, culture and history, as well as its potential for tourism development.

Luyen noted that after attractive caves were discovered, the number of tourists to the province has increased. Accordingly, Quang Binh welcomed one million tourists in 2012, and the figure was up by 2.7 folds last year.

The cooperation between Quang Binh and Lam Dong will help tap the two provinces’ tourism potential with the aim of turning tourism into a spearhead economic sector.
