Transgender group launches photos to raise HIV awareness

Nineteentransgender people in Vietnam have launched a photo collected of theirown portraits to raise public awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention andcontrol.

The collection named FreedomExpression was launched by the HCM City-based LGBT network ICS and isintended to spread the message of safe sex, especially among transgenderpeople who face discrimination.

It also shows the positive attitude to life of the transgender community who are enjoying their life.

In each photo, a transgender model sends a message to call on everyone to join the fight against HIV/AIDS.

According to a recent survey by ICS showed that 18% of transgender women were HIV positive.

Respect and protect yourself as we are beautiful and talented people

Safe sex to help protect yourself and your beloved

Let’s build images of positive transgendered people and end discrimination

Understanding, respecting, healthy dialogue and no discrimination for a civilised society

I’m proud as a transgender person to join the fight against HIV/AIDS

We need to care and improve knowledge to protect ourselves and the transgender community’s health

Open your arms to HIV/AIDS patients, and light a fire inside them and show them a brighter future
