Located in District 1, the BITEXCO financial tower is in the “heart” of the city, and represents a modern, dynamic Saigon.

The tower is 262 meters high (excluding the underground foundation of 80 meters), with 68 floors, the 3rd highest building in Vietnam. Its total area of floor is 119,000 m2, including 37,000 m2 of office area, more than 8000 m2 of the shopping area, and an area of 300 m2 on the 52nd floor for businesses.

Many foreign firms are based in the building. Bitexco has a high level of security with multiple layers of security for different areas. The building is equipped with the first two-floor elevators in Vietnam, manufactured by Otis (USA). The 12 elevators can move at a speed of 7 meters per seconds.

From the 1st to the 6th floor are commercial centers with many leading brands in the world, theaters, and an amusement center.

Corridors are paved with wood and stone.

The operating room located in the basement is the heart of the building, which is connected to the entire operating system consisting of hundreds of security cameras, electrical and air-conditioning, and ventilation systems. To get into the operating room, people have to pass through various security doors. All activities in and outside of the building are monitored 24/7.

Mr. Hai, who is in charge of technical management of the electrical system of the building, said the building’s power system is like a mini power plant. To ensure that the system always operates throughout, it uses two power supplies.

The building also equips with five super-big generators.

The lotus-shaped building is covered with 6,000 pieces of glass, imported from Belgium and processed in Korea, then moved to China for framing.

The building has a helipad (191m high, 40m long) hanging outside the main structure of the building. The helipad was assembled in nearly two months, finished one year after completion of the building, made from 250 tons of structural steel, and 4,000 bolts.

Saigon Skydeck on the 49th floor is the best place to see a panoramic view of Saigon with a 360-degree view. From here you can see all the old buildings such as Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, the roof of the Notre Dame Cathedral, the financial area of Saigon and new modern works such as the Thu Thiem Tunnel, East-West Highway …
