Unique pagodas in Vietnam


VietNamNet Bridge – Thien An Pagoda (Quang Ngai) is located on the mountain and looks like a trapezoid, reflected in a romantic river. Its name Thien An means the God’s seal on the river.
















Van Phat Quang Dai Tong Lam Pagoda



This is a great pagoda with modern and large-scale works located in Quang Phu hamlet, Tan Thanh district, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. People who talk about this pagoda mention its Buddhist records: the largest hall in Vietnam (2006), the most Buddha statues (2007), the largest Bodhisattva Maitreya statue made of granite monolith in Vietnam (2007) … 









Hang (Cave) Pagoda



The pagoda is on Ly Son island, Quang Ngai province. The 300-year old pagoda is famous for its picturesque scenes. It is called “Thien Khong Thach Tu” (the pagoda made by the god). The major pagoda is a cave 24m deep, 20m wide and 3m high with many nooks inside.








In front of the pagoda is a statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva overlooking the sea, always protecting and blessing safe voyages.










Phat Lon (Big Buddha) Temple



The temple is located on Mount Thien Cam, over 710 m above sea level, in An Hao commune, Tinh Bien district, An Giang province. 








The temple has a Maitreya Buddha statue of nearly 34 meters high, which was recognized as the largest Maitreya Buddha statue in Asia in 2013. 







Chau Thoi Mount Temple


Situated on Chau Thoi Mountain, 82m above the sea, the temple is surrounded by the plains and many artificial lakes. The temple is in Binh An commune, Di An District, Binh Duong Province, about 4 km from the city of Bien Hoa (Dong Nai) and 24 km of Ho Chi Minh City.




The temple was built over 300 years ago and it is the oldest temple in Binh Duong. 









Thien An Temple

The temple is located on Mount Thien An, more4 than 100 m above the sealevel in the central province ofQuang Ngai.
