Two Ministries join hands to boost tourism




At the working session, Director General of the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan reported the implementation of co-ordination program between the two sides period 2013-2015. Accordingly, the two sides have closely coordinated in issuing and implementing a number of policies and legal documents to improve tourist transport services and attract investment in traffic infrastructure. In addition, many joint inspections have also been conducted to avoid overcharging, to ensure the safety of traffic vehicles and to enhance quality service of transport at tourism hotspots, airports and ports.



Speaking at the working session, Minister of the MoCST Hoang Tuan Anh said the two Ministries has gained remarkable results in the coordination program, contributing to promote Viet Nam tourism development. In the coming time, the MoCST will actively supply information and publications to transport companies for the purpose of tourism promotion, especially at airports and on flights.



Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang also asked functional units to focus on upgrading traffic facilities in order to improve service quality, creating favorable conditions for passengers transportation, including tourists. He also suggested the MoCST to diversify tourist products to meet high demand of tourists and to promote the safe, friendly and attractive Viet Nam image.



At the working session, the two sides also discussed the content of coordination program period 2015 – 2020 and expected that the signing ceremony of the coordination program will be held in coming time.
