Resort wins luxury award

DA NANG (VNS) — The InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort has been awarded with the World’s Leading Luxury Resort award for the second time after receiving the highest votes from travel professionals and high-end tourism consumers from around the world.

Annually, various sectors of the tourism industry are recognised, rewarded and celebrated at the World’s Travel Awards ceremony with the attendance of over a hundred industry leaders from across the region.

Awarded by World Travel Awards 2014 as World’s Leading Luxury Resort, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort continued to emerge as winner, surpassing 10 other nominees for the worldwide category top award World’s Leading Luxury Resort 2015.

With the goal of delivering its promise, “Where Myth Meets Luxury,” InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort recently held high-profiled international events, has redefined Da Nang’s luxurious resort experience and yet again proven to be the world’s best.

As scheduled, the award ceremony will be held at the Grand Final Ceremony of the World Travel Awards Worldwide Categories at El Jadida, Morocco on December 13.

In July, the resort won the Best Achievement in Design Award organised by Virtuoso Hotels & Resort and Virtuoso Life magazine.

The iconic 197-room resort, located 600 metres above sea level on the Son Tra Peninsula in the central city and was designed by architect Bill Bensley, also won four awards in various categories at the World Travel Awards in 2014. — VNS
