After the success of the war of resistance against the Ming enemy (1418 – 1427), Le Loi came to the throne in Dong Dong (Thang Long-Hanoi), and established the Later Le Dynasty. To pay tribute to the homeland, which was also the base of the Lam Son uprising, he built Lam Kinh citadel.
Visiting Lam Kinh, you will hear the story of a strange guava tree near the tomb of the King. The tree is said to be able to laugh because when you lightly touch the tree, its leaves will start to vibrate like laughter.
There is also a banyan tree more than 300 years old in Lam Kinh, which was officially recognized as a heritage tree of Vietnam in 2013.
