The Saigon International Guitar Festival will take place for the second time at the HCMC Conservatory of Music between November 11 and 15, gathering six international artists from different countries, the conservatory said on its website.
The festival will feature four separate concerts along with seminars and masterclasses. American artist Rene Izquierdo, associate professor of guitar at University of Wisconsin, French artist Jeremy Jouve, first-prize winner of Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) in 2003, artist Anton Baranov from Russia who won first prize at GFA 2013 and over 20 prizes at other contests around the world, artist Kozo Tate from Japan, first-prize winner of Guitar Foundation of Japan 1975, Thai artist Padet Netpakdee, winner of Thailand International Guitar Competition 2009, and Vietnamese French artist Nguyen Thanh Hang.
As part of the festival, those artists will join seminars and talk shows to share experiences with those interested in the art of playing guitar.
Admission to all the four concerts at the Saigon International Guitar Festival 2015 package costs VND500,000 (US$22.4) per person. Guests can buy tickets for seperate concerts at VND100,000-200,000 each. Tickets are available at ticketbox.vn.
