This kind of tour is popular in London, New York, Vancouver, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
The tour will take in famous tourist sites such as the backpacker corner of De Tham and Pham Ngu Lao streets, Ben Thanh Market, the Opera House, the City Hall, Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Museum of History, the War Remnants Museum, the Pagoda of Goddess Thien Hau, the medicinal herbs streets of Luong Nhu Hoc and Hai Thuong Lan Ong, Francis Xavier Church, Binh Tay Market, Hoa Hung train station, and Tan Son Nhat airport.
The open tour is scheduled to start from 8 a.m. and end at 9:30 p.m. every day and buses will stop by each of the tourist sites every 30 minutes for guests to hop on and off. There will be introductions about HCMC in general and the sites in particular in the English, French and Chinese languages throughout the bus tour.
Though the tour has not launched, the company said guests can book tickets online at VND200,000 per person. Currently, Anh Viet Tourist is arranging some experimental bus tour of the kind to collect comments of hospitality experts before the company launches it in not only HCMC but also Hanoi, Hue, Danang and Dalat.
Nguyen Khoa Luan, CEO of Anh Viet Tourist, said the company is investing US$2.5 million (around VND50 billion) for the first phase of the project in Vietnam.
