Central VN Heritage Route: A unique tourism brand name


The Central Viet Nam Heritage Road was jointly launched by the local authorities of Da Nang and Viet Nam Tourism Joint Stock Company (VITOURS) in 2014.


It has become an indispensable product of all tourism agencies and seen the Republic of Korea, Japan and China as the biggest markets.


The tourism product involved six localities in the Central Region namely Da Nang city, Quang Nam, Hue, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thanh Hoa provinces.


Especially, tourists have abundant choices besides world cultural heritage sites like Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, Hue Citadel, Citadel of the Ho Dynasty, and natural heritages such as Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.  


The road was mixed with new destinations including Truong Son cemetery, Dong Loc crossroads, Truong Bon, the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap, Ba Na tourism site, Thien Duong Cave, Son Doong Cave.


With a unique heritage road from Ho Citadel in Thanh Hoa to Phong-Nha Ke Bang in Quang Binh, Hoi An Ancient Town in Quang Nam, and Da Nang City, tourists have plentiful experiences exploring culture, history, and architecture.


Last year, Thua Thien-Hue welcomed nearly 3 million visitors, representing a year-on-year surge of 11.8% and earned nearly VND 3 trillion.


Meanwhile, 3.8 million tourists came to Da Nang, up 21.9% against 2013 and pocketed VND 9.7 trillion in revenue (up 25.1%).


Quang Binh province hosted over 2.7 million tourists in 2014, up 129 % against the same period last year and gained nearly VND 2.7 trillion in revenue.
